Welcome to the web sites of the Memorial of Josef Lada and His Daughter Alena in Hrusice.

Here you can get acquainted with the artwork of Josef Lada, a famous Czech painter, illustrator and writer. He created the famous character of Mikeš the Cat and illustrated, for example, The Good Soldier Švejk. You can also see the artwork of his daughter Alena Ladová, a painter and illustrator, who devoted her work mostly to children.

You will find here all the necessary information about the Memorial, which can be visited any day except Mondays. You can go for a popular guided tour, favored by both children and adult visitors. Books by Josef Lada and related souvenirs can be purchased in the museum shop.
